In November 2025, I had the honor of stepping onto the set of Bip TV for my very first televised interview. It was a milestone moment, shared with my dedicated editor, Cyrielle Rosabel Deer.
Olivier Stroh, our host, has a sharp, inquisitive mind and his professional charisma was matched only by his genuine passion for our subject matter: child abuse and its complex, multi-dimensional consequences on the victims.
I had traveled an entire day from London to Issoudun, France, with a knot in my gut—a mix of nervousness and excitement: this was my opportunity to speak about dissociative identity disorder and to explain why I wrote this book, Detached. I wanted to voice why the community of victims needs more allies, why they deserve to be heard, and why we all need to help them break the silence.
The Bip TV set was the perfect place for such a conversation; it was beautiful and welcoming with soothing colors. The operational team was incredibly kind and supportive and Olivier’s approach was deeply sensitive. His well-informed questions allowed us to explore the world of pain of dissociative identity disorder with the nuance it deserves.
This interview was a tribute to hope and the profound nature of human resilience. Olivier is a true ally, and I am deeply grateful for the safe space he created to bring my answers to light.
Thank you, Lisez Berry and Bip TV!
Sophie.
